About Slitherlink
Slitherlink asks for one closed loop drawn along the dots of a lattice. Each numbered cell counts how many of its four edges the loop uses; zeros carve out forbidden territory and threes force immediate corners. This generator publishes only boards whose clues a solver confirms admit exactly one loop.
Tips
- Threes are anchors — every edge around a 3 is on the loop.
- Zeros delete edges; mark them before anything else.
- Follow the wall: when the loop has two confirmed edges in a region, trace consequences outward.
FAQ
- Can the loop touch or cross itself?
- Never. It is one simple closed curve along lattice lines — every dot touches zero or two loop edges.
- What do blank (zero-clue) cells mean?
- A printed 0 means none of that cell's edges belong to the loop. The preview omits zeros to reduce noise; the PDF prints every clue including 0.
